Abandoned Diamond C Ranch Mansion

The 18,000 sq-ft Diamond C Ranch Mansion in Gillsville, Georgia was once owned by the Craven family who commercialized the pottery business during the 1970's in the United States. The pottery empire, built by the family, was sold off in 2007 after the recession hit. The mansion sits desolate and for sale after many years.
The Great Hall, heart of the mansion, includes an $80,000 mural and crafted stone walls originating from quarries in India.
Wallpaper by Cowtan and Tout of England and custom made crystal wall sconces.
The mansion houses over 20 made to order statues valued at over 5,000$ each, and inspired by those seen in Italian villas.
Koi pond with cannon water fountain that sits in the front entrance of the mansion.
An 18 ft tall Venetian style marble fountain featuring bathing women stands at the entrance to the mansion.
I took these photographs of the abandoned state that the Diamond C Ranch Mansion was in as of December of 2015. The ranch has very little to no security and is easily accessible. I walked in off the street and the mansion was unlocked and unguarded. Natural elements are damaging the house due to no upkeep , and evidence of vagrants dwelling in the space was apparent. I proceeded with caution and took my chances while exploring such a beautiful and complexly designed estate.
